Practical Facilities available at the College:

Cattle
The college has a herd of 112 Nguni cattle and 37 grazing camps. Other equipment, like dehorning irons, eartag applicators and branding irons are also available. |

| Crop Production
For Crop Production, a shade house, plastic tunnel and potting shed is available, as well as some land. |

| Library
The Owen Sitole College Library is a small but growing library. It consists of a book, journal/magazine and pamphlet collection. The library is connected to SABINET and the INTERNET. Inter-library loan facilities are also available. The library is staffed by a qualified librarian and a library assistant. |

| Sewing Centre
A fully equipped sewing center is available, with18 sewing machines and 4 overlockers, where students are taught to make outfits, crochet, knit and embroider. The center is also equipped with mirrors, ironing boards, irons and lockers. |

| Cooking Centre
The cooking center is equipped with 10 electrical stoves, one gas stove and one hob. It also has 3 refrigerators, a microwave oven and a pantry. |

| Laboratories
Two laboratories are used with a drying oven, fume cupboard and microscopes. |

| Computer Room
16 up-to-date computers are available, where students are taught the basics of using a computer as well as certain programs e.g. Word Perfect and Quattro Pro. The computers are available to students when "Computer Application" lectures are not in progress. |

| Mechanical Workshop
A fully equipped mechanical workshop is available for training in mechanical engineering. The workshop houses 7 mounted engines as well as various items of farm equipment such as balers, slashers, mowers, planters and ploughs. There are 17 welding bays for purpose of instruction. A comprehensive set of tools and relevant equipment is housed in two storerooms. |

| Dairy
The dairy has a milking machine and 20 hand milking pens. 40 Jersey animals are kept.

| Pig Unit
A small pig unit is kept with 30 sows and one boar. |

 |
|
| Poultry Unit
The poultry unit consists of 350 layers, 400 broilers, 20 indigenous birds and 12 geese. 22 layer houses are used. |
